Pixar UP International Trailer

Pixar's UP MovieAn international trailer of Pixar's UP has been released:

I think Director Pete Docter who helmed the development of UP describes quite well what the movie is about:

"We wanted more ‘Dumbo’ and less ‘Star Wars,’. In certain parts, it’s more of a feeling we’re going after than linear storytelling."
Director Pete Docter

I understand Pixar may be tempted to explore Miyazaki's path (the Japanese director who brought some really magic animated movies) but I'd rather see Pixar staying a trendsetter than becoming a follower...

Anyway, Disney Pixar's UP still looks amazing.

UPisodes

Disney Pixar is releasing a few promotional clips to warm up the buzz around the upcoming 3D animated movie UP. Making a pun with the title of the movie, Disney Pixar is calling those clips UPisodes:

Adventures with Carl and Russell

Animal Calls

First Aid

Trap
Russell attempts to make a Snipe Trap using chocolate as a bait.

Can't say that the chubby Russell is the smartest boy on Earth... He's lucky to have the grouchy Carl to watch upon him.

UP Movie Trailer

Karl the grumpy old man and Russell the chubby boy are the two heroes of UP, the latest Disney Pixar animated movie in 2009. Here below a full-length trailer of UP:

UP From Disney Pixar

This Summer, the adventure of a lifetime will be finding their way home!

Thanks to this new UP trailer we have a glimpse of Charles Muntz, the movie's villain:

Charles Muntz from the movie UPChristopher Plummer is lending his voice to Charles Muntz, an adventurer Carl and his wife admired as children. Director Pete Docter compared Muntz to a mix of Charles Lindbergh and Howard Hughes.

I'm getting thrilled by this new PIXAR movie: it does fit in their previous track after all. And the dog is so cute: I bet he's gonna steal the show for real!

Up Bootleg Clip

A preview clip of UP, the upcoming Disney Pixar animated movie, was shown at the last Consumer Electronics Show. And yep, it just leaked online thanks to a fellow Pixar fan, so here the bootleg clip of UP, it's in quite good quality:

This new UP clip is more appealing than the one previously released. One thing though: the voice of the chubby boy sounds a bit too deep... He's not adult yet, so his deep voice kind of put off balance this nice scene of the movie UP.

Up Preview Clip

Disney Pixar has released a preview clip of Up, the animated movie they're lining up in 2009:

Please let me in!

It does not look as great as the previous Pixar: but the plot of Up will have more one twist, and I'm pretty sure that we will be as amazed as usual by Pixar's latest movie.

Update:
Great, we have new clips of UP, and I'm now confident that up will be an awesome Pixar animated movie:

Good afternoon, my name is Russel and I'm a wilderness explorer!

Meet Kevin
Russell goes looking for a snipe and instead finds a giant, colorful, and very friendly bird.

A house in the sky!

Karl and Russell make a charming duo. Nice to see that Pixar is also able to create credible human characters.

Pixar Up New Trailer

The new Disney Pixar movie for 2009 is no science-fiction. But the movie Up still looks appealing.

Have a look to the second trailer of Up from Pixar:

The old widow is named Carl Fredricksen. He was wasting his last days in boredom... That is to say until Russell the fatty boy went up for a visit, starting point of a crazy adventure.

Such a human-centered theme is rather surprising from Pixar, maybe they're feeling more confident by now, or it could be some influence from Disney.

Anyway, I bet Up will be the usual Pixar success that will amaze us all!

Up First Official Teaser Trailer

Up is Pixar next movie which should be released in 2009.
The first official teaser trailer of UP has unveiled:

San Diego Comic Con visitors were treated with Additional footage of Up. And according to the lucky ones who saw it, the way Up has been done reminds of Japanese Director Hayao Miyazaki who is famous for My Neighbor Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, and many others.

So the movie Up does not fit in the traditional mold of American animation: Pixar is never short of surprising us! Pixar has definitely brought some new blood to the old Disney company.

Up by Disney PixarUP

The plot:
"The story of Up follows Carl Fredricksen (Ed Asner) who spent his entire life dreaming of exploring the globe and experiencing life to its fullest. But one day, Carl finds himself to be 78-years old and his life has seemingly passed him by, until he befriends a chubby 8-year old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the jungle." (Source: Wikipedia)

Up is going to be a CGI-animated epic movie that will try to fill the gap between the generations! Would be nice to see grandparents bringing their grandchildren to watch UP in family.
